The Very Presence Of God

Someone wrote a book entitled Practicing the Presence of God. We ought to practice knowing about it and concentrating on it. Simply being aware of His presence is a wonderful thing. I had trouble with a couple of bullies when I was a child. When one of my big brothers walked with me past the homes of those bullies I was not afraid of them. And no one ever dared to bully me in the presence of my father. But the presence of Almighty God is better than the presence of my big brothers or my father.

Ephesians 3:17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,

Christ can’t get any closer than in our hearts. If you haven’t invited Him into your heart what are you waiting for???

God is always present in the hearts and lives of His children. What a glorious truth! What a glorious privilege! Do we know how wonderful His presence is? Do we focus on it? Do we enjoy it? Is it the best and most important thing to us? Do we purposefully go into His presence often? Do we live continually like He is with us? Living as if He is not in us, with us and near us is a miserable existence. Do we want His presence or don*t we? Do we try to hide from His presence?

Psalms 46:1: God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

Hebrews 13:5: Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

Isaiah 41:10: Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

Acts 17:27: That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us: 28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.

Hebrews 4:16: Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Hebrews 10:22: Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

Romans 8:38: For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
